*NEW* My 2011 EP The Final Fall is finally completed! I am proud to announce the release of my first single "Good Girls Finish Last" from the EP. You can now listen to it on my website! As you can see, my sister has completed my new web design! I LOVE IT! I just completed a new photo shoot with Stiver Photography! I am extrememely happy with the new pics and I can't wait to share them with you all :) ...but you will have to wait for the new web design to see them. My talented younger sister will be working on this in the next month or so with her recent graduation from Penn State University with a degree in graphic design. Keep checking back for the new design!! I hope to reveal it in early September.

Source Q Boutique is going to be exclusively representing 'Naive' for tv/film licensing! They have placed songs on tv shows such as Ugly Betty, Life Unexpected, House, Cold Case, Saving Grace, and Californication. This could be a huge opportunity for my music to get some national exposure. Very exciting!!

I just got my first radio airplay royalty check :)
Much like when I got a check for 'From the Heart' being used on The Today Show last March, I had no idea this had happened, but its definitely a very nice surprise. So, if you are a musician with original music, and you are not a member of a performing rights organization like ASCAP, then you need to join! I never would've seen that money or even known i was owed money if I hadn't been a member.

I am excited to announce that VNB just finished our first demo! We are really proud of what we came up with... 2 new songs and one old one revamped.
Ordinary Celebrity sort of makes fun of how people try to become famous through the internet, reality tv, etc. We are most proud of this one!
Holding on to Hope was inspired by the National Vigil of Hope organization to give hope to those searching for missing loved ones. We've gotten the most compliments on this one so far.
Naive was re-recorded for music publishing purposes, so you may be hearing it on tv/film sometime in the future!

Moved on to Round 2... Thanks so much to everyone who voted and helped VNB get to #2 in the Nashville category! We moved on to round 2 in the top 20. Unfortunately, we were not selected to move on to Round #3 and perform in Nashville.

Thanks to Rainmaker PR, I've been getting some new CD reviews by respectable magazines and webzines. Check them out on my Reviews page.

I am now working with Rainmaker PR out of Boston on a campaign for press releases and reviews in the country's top music magazines such as Billboard Magazine and Rollingstone, satellite radio, webzines, music blogs, and more! I am really excited about what this could do for the exposure of my music nationwide and even worldwide!

I auditioned for the EPAC Star Search today, and made into the top 20 competition this Friday, June 19th at 7:30pm! Tickets are $10, and you can purchase them by calling the box office at (717) 733-7966 or at the door on Friday. The audience gets to vote for their favorite, and the top 6 get to perform in the final competition on June 20th! The grand prize winner gets $1,000 and 2 roundtrip airplane tickets to anywhere in the US! I could use a vacation, so PLEASE come and vote for me :)

My single "Naive" has been offered a deal by a publishing company out of Arizona! This is unofficial until a contract is signed, but when it goes through, "Naive" will be pitched to tv and film projects. This publishing company has placed songs on ABC, NBC, and CBS hit shows such as Ugly Betty, so this is definitely a HUGE opportunity!! It could be the jump start into the industry that I've been looking for :) I will keep you posted on updates.

I recently joined a local rock/punkrock/pop cover band that performs in eastern/central PA called Pulse as a vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist! The band's members include Derek Mauldin: lead guitar/vox, Jon Rossi: drums/back-up vox, and Mike Taylor: bass guitar/back-up vox. Jon Rossi is endorsed by Silver Fox Drumsticks . Derek and Jon will also be joining Keith and I for the newly formed Valerie Nicole Band! Check out our schedule here or on myspace.
